Seafloor Sand

Dive at ocean bubble spots to get Seafloor Sand. For the Songs of Glimmerwick seafloor sand location, swim to a patch of bubbles in the sea and interact with it. If you are searching for seawater sand, use this ocean-diving route. Lakes and the seven patches immediately around Mel and Lusina's Shell do not give Seafloor Sand.

How do I unlock ocean diving?

The sea turns you back until you own swimwear. The ferry operator gives you the Wetsuit Outfit on the way to the Seaflower Festival on Spring 14. It works from your inventory, so you can keep wearing your usual outfit.

Where should I dive for sand?

Search ocean bubbles

Try bubble spots in the sea, including the water off Newcomer Beach. Seafloor Sand is a random diving reward, so a spot does not guarantee sand.

Interact with each patch

Swim to the bubbles and interact to dive. Each dive gives one item, then that patch disappears until the next morning.

Search again the next morning

Bubble patches have a chance to appear each morning and can drift a few steps from their previous positions. Search for the new bubbles rather than expecting every spot to return.

Skip the Wisk Pool and Ochre Woods lake when gathering Seafloor Sand. Also skip the seven bubble patches immediately around Mel and Lusina's Shell; nearby open sea and the patches directly by the Shell are different search areas.

Why am I diving without finding any?

Sand is a random reward, so unsuccessful dives can happen even in the correct area. Continue searching eligible ocean patches and return on another morning if you run out.

Version 1.02 made Seafloor Sand more common. Its exact current drop rate is not confirmed yet; do not treat a fixed number of dives as a guarantee.
