How to Move a Sprinkler

To move a sprinkler in Songs of Glimmerwick, use Song of Tilling on its plot to shovel it up, recover the Sprinkler Plant, and plant it in an empty plot. The digging action costs 30 mana and returns the old plot to grass. You get the sprinkler back, so you can rearrange your Songs of Glimmerwick university garden without buying a replacement.

How do you pick up and replant the sprinkler?

Play Song of Tilling

Stand in your garden and play A S J on keyboard or ↓ ← A on controller. For other song topics, see Songs of Glimmerwick flutes and songs.

Select the sprinkler's current plot

Click the existing plot after casting the song. Your enchanted shovel removes the plot for 30 mana, turns it back into grass, and returns the plant.

Plant it in the new position

Drag the recovered seed onto an empty plot, or equip it and press the interact key beside the plot (Space on keyboard).

Digging removes the old plot as well as recovering the sprinkler. Choose an empty destination plot before you rearrange it. Sprinkler Plants stay where you plant them and never grow or ripen.

Where should you replant it?

Place it where its spray can reach the plots you want to water: the range is about three plots around it. Watering the sprinkler uses one charge from your watering can and sprays the surrounding plots. If that spray reaches another sprinkler, it activates that sprinkler too, allowing a chain to water a larger field.

You can reuse the recovered plant. A replacement costs 120 Gold Petals from Kavita in any season, or from Mel and Lusina at the Shell. If you need to look up people, use Songs of Glimmerwick characters; for separate instrument questions, use Songs of Glimmerwick flute types.
