How do you start Ghost Treasure?
After market day in Clover's Calamity, Clover gives you a strange gem. Use it on the secret passage in the dorm's Common Room to enter the locked garden shed. Read the cabin note
Interact with the notebook or note inside the cabin to proceed with the quest. It contains the clue about the stone.
Buy Alchemical Resonance
Talk to the alchemist near the garden entrance—the one trying to turn pine cones into gold. Speak with him a couple of times until you can ask to try it, then buy the score for 300 Gold Petals.
Pin the score
Find Alchemical Resonance in your spells/song list and pin it using the control on the far right of the list. On controller, the pin control is X. For other music topics, use the Songs of Glimmerwick flutes and songs page.
Play at the flower-topped stone
Go to the stone with a flower on it in the orange farm section. Open your flute with R on keyboard or R2 on controller, then manually play the pinned score shown in the left-hand corner. The keyboard notes are S D F L; the controller sequence is ← ↑ → Y.
Use the flower-topped stone as your landmark. The exact area name is not confirmed yet: it is described as both “Orche Woods” and “Orche Fields(? the orange farm section)”. Keep the Songs of Glimmerwick island exploration page handy for other exploration topics.
Alchemical Resonance cannot be practiced and must be played manually. You do not need a practice button or a quick-use song icon. The “silver fades to gold” clue points to this spell; you do not need to wait for sunrise or sunset to interpret it.
What if playing the song does nothing?
Check that you read the cabin note, bought and pinned Alchemical Resonance, and played its notes manually in front of the flower-topped stone. This method has worked, but playing after buying and pinning the score has also produced no reaction. The cause of that failure and a reliable fix are not confirmed yet.
What should you tell Ivarice about the moonstone?
